Karen May - Committee Member
Councillor Karen May’s vast local government experience, which totals more than 16 years, makes her a valuable asset to RDA GW. Deemed one of the most experienced Councillors on council, she was also Deputy Mayor and Mayor of the former Sarina Shire Council. As Mayor, Councillor May led Sarina through amalgamation with Mackay City and Mirani Shire councils in 2008. Councillor May represents council is several different organisations, making her knowledgeable in many different facets across both public and private sectors. Councillor May also been a small business owner for over 20 years and currently serves as the Chair of Sarina and District Community Financial Services (Bendigo Bank Community Bank Sarina).
