Maree Franettovich - Committee Member

Maree has a longstanding professional interest in regional capacity building, with a passion for business and people.

Having applied her professional expertise across a diverse range of industries, including federal parliament, tourism, finance, health, agribusiness, recruitment, career development, transport and logistics, Maree is a highly sought-after consultant and committee/board member.

She holds a Bachelor of Business, with a major in management and human resources, and postgraduate qualifications in management. She is also a certified governance professional and an accredited trainer.

For many years, Maree was a lecturer in Business at CQUniversity – where she cofounded the highly successful Engage Mentor Program. She has recently been engaged by Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) in Mackay Isaac Whitsundays as the Regional Stakeholder Manager. Maree holds the Deputy Chair and Company Secretary positions at Sarina and District Community Financial Services Limited, which operates Community Bank Sarina Bendigo Bank, and is a Director with Connect Housing Mackay. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders, and Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network. Her recent accolades include being a finalist in QRRRWN’s Strong Women in Leadership Awards – the Strong Woman category in 2019 and the Community category in 2020.
