Bowen Basin Women in Leadership program kicks off for 2026

The 2026 Bowen Basin Women in Leadership program has officially commenced, bringing together 25 motivated participants for the first workshop of the year. The session provided a dynamic and insightful start to the program, setting the tone for a year of growth, learning, and collaboration.

This initial workshop centred on a strengths-based approach to leadership, designed to help participants identify and understand their own capabilities while recognising and leveraging the strengths of others. By applying these principles, participants are better equipped to achieve meaningful outcomes in both professional and community settings.

A standout moment of the session was when participants had the opportunity to present on their individual strengths. This exercise not only built confidence but also encouraged sharing of experiences and perspectives in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Bowen Basin Women in Leadership program continues to empower women in the region, fostering leadership skills, professional growth, and meaningful connections that contribute to stronger regional communities.
