Women face unique challenges in the workplace, as well as in gaining and growing into leadership roles. Our Bowen Basin Women in Leadership program combines face-to-face learning, personalised mentoring and industry networking to facilitate the following opportunities:

  • Identify and leverage your individual strengths

  • Build self-awareness and confidence in skills and capabilities

  • Develop network of other local leaders

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE PROGRAM?

The Bowen Basin Women in Leadership program will take place over ten months, at a subsidised cost of $400 + GST per participant. The program will involve:

  • 5 x 1 day micro-credential workshops – delivered by a leadership development organisation, focusing on identifying your leadership traits, style, strengths and abilities.

  • 2 masterclasses – with local facilitators, aimed at building confidence and self belief, including support from your mentor.

  • Mentoring support – full access to local business and community leaders for the entirety of the program.

  • Two networking events – for program participants and mentors to build relationships and share learnings.

  • End of program celebration event – to cap off the program, a final event will be held to further encourage industry connections within the region, and celebrate the program’s completion.

WHO IS BEST SUITED TO PARTICIPATE?

Women in the Isaac region who have the potential to be workplace and/or community leaders, who are looking to grow and develop their leadership skills and opportunities. For example, if you are interested in a management role, being on a committee or board, or wanting to step up in your organisation in some way – then this program has been designed to help you achieve that aim.
